Before you decide on a wedding photographer, check out these questions:

What is your primary photography and editing style?

I truly want to capture your wedding day as it unfolds, but I do a blend of candid and posed photography. This is called "photojournalistic style." I believe that the best photographers offer simple direction, but let the couple's love create the mood.  Nothing is better than two people that forget the photographers is even there and just want to be in each other's arms.

My editing style is rich, bold and slightly moody. I like to invoke as sense of drama, but like to keep tones natural so that your photos stand the test of time. 


How many weddings do you book in a year?

I will never book myself for more than 6 weddings in a month. My goal is to make each wedding special and to not over-book, just to make money. I decided long ago to keep it fresh and fun so that shooting is an artistic expression, not just an obligation. This cap also allows me to give each couple the attention they deserve and to deliver quality images that I personally review and edit myself (never hired out), and in a timely manner. 

Unfortunately, that means I book up fast and have to turn down clients from time to time. I highly recommend booking fast and booking early!


How can I save my date?

Easy! Simply fill out the contact form here.  Then, we can schedule a time to meet and discuss your wedding details and see if we are a good fit for each other. After that we come up with a customized package to fit your needs. Once the retainer fee is paid, which is 30% of your package and sign your contract, the day is all yours!


When will I receive my images?

Typically I give my couples a sneak peek a day or two after the wedding. The rest of the gallery will be delivered around 3-4 weeks. In very rare cases, it may take a little longer than that. If that happens, I will deliver images as they are available, so you'll never have to wait too long to enjoy and share your photos. Rush delivery is also available, in which I will prioritize your wedding and will give you your whole gallery in under 2 weeks. 

Video takes a bit longer because of clipping, adding sound, music and visual effects, but will totally be worth the wait!


Why do wedding photographers charge so much?

Before I started in the wedding photography industry, I asked myself this very question about my wedding photographer.


Once I started charging to shoot weddings, I didn't even make a profit! Everything I made, went right back into the business to purchase quality cameras, lenses, lighting, image storage, insurance, a website, etc.


Today, I still keep up-to-date with the latest equipment and education and I also like to gift my couples in some way.   However, I have learned to make a profit, so I can continue to do what I love!  I believe that offering the right price is just good business sense.  My goal is to give you quality product and experience, so that you feel like your money is well spent!

Do we really need an engagement shoot?

Of course not! However, I strongly encourage it. Most of the packages I offer have a complimentary engagement shoot included already! The reason for this is it allows for us to really get to know each other. It's basically a trial run of your wedding day. It allows me to instruct you on posing, see how you interact as a couple and most importantly it gives you some beautiful images of you and your fiancé without the wedding dress.

A lot of my brides decide to do their engagement shoot on the day of their trial hair and make-up sessions, to see how it looks on camera and how/if they'd like to make changes for the wedding day!

How long will I need my photographer?

Timelines vary from wedding to wedding based on many factors, but a typical day for me starts at 1pm (getting ready, first looks, etc.) and ends around 9pm just after the "party music" begins!

If you want an earlier start to do bridal portraits before the ceremony, a beautiful sparkler send-off or want epic shots of your after party, the timing for this is all included in a full-day package.

What is your refund/cancellation policy?

Covid has changed a lot of things and I understand that the unknowns of planning a wedding can be stressful. Because of this, I offer a full refund, minus the retainer fee, if your wedding is *cancelled due to no fault of your own. 

Are there any other fees I need to know about?

Not usually! There may be travel fees incurred if your event is further than 60 miles away. However, once you pay your total package price plus taxes, there are no additional fees. This will give you everything outlined here, and delivery of your digital images in an on-line gallery which will be stored for you for one year.

Do you offer any discounts?

I'm glad you asked, I offer a 5% discount on any of my wedding collections to Military and First Responders: EMTs, Firefighters, doctors/nurses/techs, (verification required). Additionally, all couples that book their wedding with me, receive a 5% discount for any future sessions for life!
